Few hospitality names inspire the devotion Aman does, and none is more associated with silence, space and restraint. So the arrival of Amangati, Aman's first ship, is among the most closely watched debuts in the category. The name derives from Sanskrit for "peaceful motion" — a fitting thesis for the brand's move to water.
The vessel
At 180 metres, Amangati will carry just 94 guests across 47 suites — an exceptionally low guest count for a ship of its size, translating to the generous space and privacy Aman devotees expect. It is being built by the storied T. Mariotti shipyard in Genoa, Italy.
Launch and itineraries
Aman at Sea is scheduled to begin sailing in spring 2027, with a maiden voyage departing Palma de Mallorca in May 2027. Early itineraries concentrate on the Mediterranean, several timed to coincide with landmark events such as the Cannes Film Festival and the Monaco Grand Prix — pairing serene sailing with the region's most coveted moments.
Pricing
Fares reflect the rarity: five-night voyages have been reported from around US$38,500 per suite (priced per suite rather than per person), with longer sailings higher still. Reservations opened in early 2026.
