If you reserved directly with the hotel, send over your confirmation. In most cases there's still time to add the perks a preferred-partner booking would have included.
Can you still add perks after booking?
Yes, in most cases, provided you booked directly with the hotel rather than through an OTA such as Booking.com or Expedia, and your stay has not yet started. Breakfast and hotel credit are added in almost every case. Upgrades and check-in timing depend on what the property actually has free. Your existing reservation, room and rate stay exactly as they are.
Not automated, and not a black box. Here's the real process.
The hotel name, your dates, and your confirmation number, either through the form below or forwarded by email. That's all we need to start.
We contact the property's own reservations or preferred-partner desk directly and attach the benefits to your existing reservation under your same confirmation number. Nothing is rebooked.
Breakfast and credit, almost always. Upgrade and check-in timing depend on real inventory for your dates, so we wait for the property's answer rather than guessing.
A written note of exactly what's been added to your reservation, before you travel, so there's nothing to sort out at the front desk.
Prefer email? You can also forward your booking confirmation letter directly to reservations@rendezvoustravelcollections.com and we'll take it from there.
The honest version, so you know before you send anything.
Booked directly with the hotel, by phone, email or the hotel's own website, on a standard flexible rate, at a property that participates in one of our partner programmes.
Prepaid or advance-purchase rates booked direct, and stays starting within a few days. Both are worth sending, the answer depends on the property and how close you are to arrival.
Bookings made through an OTA such as Booking.com, Expedia or Hotels.com, through another travel agency, or stays that have already begun. The reservation sits outside the channel the benefits attach to.
What people ask before forwarding a confirmation.
Usually not, as long as the stay has not started and you booked directly with the hotel. The earlier you send it the better, since upgrades and check-in timing depend on inventory that fills up closer to arrival, but breakfast and credit can often be added even within a few days of check-in.
No. Your room, your rate and your confirmation number stay as they are. We attach the partner benefits to the existing reservation rather than rebooking it, so there is nothing to re-pay and no new cancellation terms.
No. The hotel pays our commission from its own budget, which is why the rate does not move. There is no fee to you, before or after.
Generally no, not on that reservation. Partner benefits attach to the booking channel, and an OTA booking sits outside it. If your dates are still flexible and the OTA rate is refundable, we can price rebooking it properly, which sometimes lands at the same rate with the amenities included. If it is non-refundable, it is usually not worth breaking.
The hotel name, your check-in and check-out dates, and your confirmation number. Forwarding the hotel's confirmation email covers all three. If you are travelling for an occasion, tell us, that goes to the hotel with your reservation and it materially changes how you are received.
Same day in most cases. If your stay is within 72 hours, say so in the message and we will prioritise it, since upgrade and check-in requests need to reach the property before their arrivals list is finalised.
